Discover the tools required to deal with the more complex and involved aspects of individual income tax.
MODULE 3 Basic Tax Concepts for Business
Learn the basic tax concepts for business.
MODULE 4 Advanced Tax for Business
Discover the ins and outs of corporate taxation.
MODULE 5 Payroll - Principles & Legislation
Explore the concept of payroll, and the difference between employees’ tax and income tax.
MODULE 6 Payroll Administration
Learn the nitty-gritty of payroll - how it’s calculated, how it’s deducted, and how it’s allocated.

Shaun Parsons
Associate Professor, College of Accounting, UCT
Parsons holds a master’s degree in taxation, and is a chartered accountant (SA) and a registered tax practitioner. He has published in academic journals and presented peer-reviewed conference proceedings. Parsons also holds an MPhil in applied theology.
Riley Carpenter
Senior Lecturer, College of Accounting, UCT
Carpenter has a master's degree in taxation, and is a chartered accountant (SA). He is also a registered tax practitioner and provides tax consulting to firms in the South African structured finance arena. He has published international journal articles and presented numerous peer-reviewed national and international conference proceedings in taxation and accounting education. Carpenter is also a contributing author of tax and accounting textbooks.
