Tebello Thabane
Senior Lecturer, Commercial Law Department, Faculty of Law, University of Cape Town
After practising as an advocate for several years, Thabane served as the principal secretary and chief advisor to the Minister of Law and Constitutional Affairs in the government of Lesotho. Today, he lectures company law, corporate governance and business law. His qualifications include a BA (law), LLB, LLM (in commercial law and human rights), and certificates in corporate compliance and commercial dispute mediation.
James Leach
Lecturer, Commercial Law Department, Faculty of Law, UCT
After graduating from the University of Cape Town with an LLB in 2012 and a Master of Laws in commercial law (LLM) with distinction in 2013, and successfully pursuing a second LLM in shipping law in 2014, Leach became a lecturer at UCT in the Faculty of Law’s Commercial Law Department. He is the primary developer and course convenor of a new postgraduate diploma in regulatory compliance management, and his research interests lie in theories of corporate legal regulation, corporate governance, and financial aspects of corporate financing structures.
