A continuation of the concept of drafting financial statements.

Learn the definition and purpose of budgeting.

Module 6 Measuring and Evaluating Financial Performance
Discover how a firm measures and evaluates financial performance.

Module 7 Internal Control and Accounting Systems
Discover the important role that internal controls play in a business.

Module 8 Business Tax

COURSE CONVENOR

Shelly Herbert

Chartered Accountant (SA) and Senior Lecturer, College of Accounting, UCT

With a master’s in accounting from UCT, Herbert lectures both undergraduate accounting courses and public sector financial reporting courses for postgraduate students. She also convenes accounting honours degrees. While Herbert is a qualified chartered accountant (CA), she has chosen to return to academics to pursue her passion for teaching and helping future CAs achieve their goals.
