Kathy Michell

Associate Professor, Department of Construction Economics and Management, UCT

Michell, a quantity surveyor and facilities manager, has been a full-time academic staff member at UCT since 1995. Her research has been in the fields of corporate real estate, property management, and sustainable urban development and management. She is also a core member of the Urban Real Estate Research Unit. Michell is the Africa regional editor for the Journal of Facilities Management and serves on the editorial board of the African Journal of Real Estate Research. She is a past president of the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession. Michell has also served on the Council for the Built Environment.
