YOUR COURSE CONVENOR

Claudia Kalil

Head of the Professional Communication Unit, UCT

Kalil received a Master of Philosophy in applied language and literacy studies from UCT in 2008. She is now not only head of the Professional Communication Unit at UCT, but also serves as a lecturer and external examiner there. She is passionate about getting students to engage meaningfully with the knowledge they gain through their studies. Her own research interests include professional communication, team management and communication, design thinking, multimodality, and scenario pedagogy. Prior to teaching at the university, she taught English as a foreign language in Japan.
